Before a single tube is drawn

Everything that has to be settled before blood is taken: the current procedure, the person in front of you, the request itself, and the barriers between you and the sample. By the end you can challenge an order that cannot answer the question, prove the patient is who the label says, and draw a specimen you would be willing to test.
